Sleepless nights suddenly make you think random things.
I am writing this post now 'cause I want to share something about what I have read earlier. It's a love story written by Aril Daine, one of the most best selling authors in Wattpad, entitled "Cupid Gone Wrong."
It is all about a famous female blogger named Lovely Dennise Calarion who was asked to post a sweet message to a young woman named Cathy by a guy named August. Siyempre, dahil mabait ang ating protagonist ay pinagbigyan niya ito.
The story's short. They've been close to each other. Nakakachat na sa messenger, nagkakatext pa.
August is a really sweet guy whom girls will fall in love with. Perfect, ang tingin ng iba. As the time's passing by, our Lovely's falling to him, hindi niya lang maamin hanggang sa dumating sa point na nagbibiruan lang sila pero umabot na sa mga salitang "I love you" at "I love you, too."
For a typical girl like me, nakakakilig naman talaga yun. It's very 'in' to the youngsters a relationship called "online relationship" or "LDR." It's a relationship that only social media is their medium to connect their both hearts. A person will know someone through Facebook or Twitter, tapos kuhaan ng cellphone numbers, tapos text-text lang, mamaya, malalaman mong inlove ka na pala.
Well, anyway, hindi naman sila LDR. Hindi rin naman natin masasabing pang online lang sila 'cause they're seeing each other. I just said it kasi madalas silang mag usap through texts and chats.
Everything went well for the past few months. Lovely continued to love August. Texts him. Chats him. Informs and greets him. However, one day, August suddenly became cold. Of course, our Lovely's puzzled. Why? Why's he like that? Did she do something wrong? Is her mind occupied with so many things that she can't handle their relationship well? Or is he bored of her?
Err, none of the above. 'Cause August had a one night stand with a girl named Joan who's requesting for another round. Lovely found it out. At mabuti na lang hindi siya tanga para balikan pa ito.
At the end of the story, August explained that he felt guilty kaya he acted cold. He loves her pero nagi-guilty siya sa ginawa niya but dahil nga hindi hindi tanga si Ate, hindi na siya bumalik ulit.
That's the end of the story.
I found it very good, really. It's a story wherein you can see reality. Reality of the kids today. Actually, hindi lang kids/youth, kundi para na rin sa mga loveless na hindi millennial. The story shows how girls' hearts soft is -- how it can easily touch and fall; How small talks, sweet morning and evening greeting do. It does not apply for females only but also to our gents who are searching for their only one.
Hindi man same ang kwento ng bawat isa patungkol sa online relationships but the question is, "Is it okay?"
Is it fine to love a man/woman you never seen yet or rarely be with? Is it fine to give your full trust to someone you love? Hindi mo man nakikita, minsan mo lang makasama, o kapiling mo na lagi?
What do you think?
Ps. At last, I yawn. I'm going to sleep. You should, too. Good night!
Yours Truly,
Olyn
